Switzerland Cosplay finished only a few days ago, and we are still under a big impression that deserves in-depth elaboration. Fantasy Basel 2024 was the event’s 10th edition which took place between May 9 and 11. It attracted some truly spectacular participants who gathered to celebrate everything from comic books and movies to TV shows and anime – and a lot more!

One of the best things about this comic con is the sheer number of cosplay and contests available. But if we had to pick one that made the biggest impression, the choice would be fairly simple – the STAR WARS Fan Props: Project X1 took the game to another level by single-handedly attracting hundreds of participants.
But there were other notable moments!
For example, Fantasy Basel featured an exclusive Indiana Jones fans exhibition this year – it was interesting to see so many “archeologists” in one place. We also can’t help but mention the Swiss Space Museum with elite scientists who were more than happy to answer attendees’ questions and join heated discussions.
Gaming Zone
The Swiss Comic Con gaming hall is definitely one of the best in the business. This is the go-to place for players who wish to try out new games or test state of the art hardware coming from top-level developers.
On the other hand, industry professionals – especially the ones coming from Switzerland – had the privilege of visiting the Swiss Game Developers Association (SGDA) zone. This is where young but talented developers and other creative individuals could meet and discuss possible cooperation or business opportunities with each other or with representatives of reputable gaming companies.
As for the games, there were really all sorts of standout titles over there. That’s why we don’t want to mention any specific names or genres, but let’s just say that participants had the opportunity to engage in everything from traditional board games and VR titles to eSports.
